When you enroll in the College of Engineering at Ohio State, you're choosing engineering at its finest. We offer 13 majors from which to choose, state-of-the-art facilities, a diverse faculty of more than 250 eminent scholars and researchers and an exciting and vibrant campus. Engineering has been an integral part of Ohio State since the first 17 students enrolled in engineering courses in 1873. Today there are nearly 5,000 undergraduate students enrolled in our College, which is ranked among the top engineering programs in the United States. Although Ohio State is a large institution with many areas of study, some of our engineering majors have fewer than 20 graduates per year.

Enrollment

Enrollment in the College of Engineering offers access to varied and diverse benefits and support services, including:

1. participation in a first year hands-on engineering course sequence
   1. participation in our outstanding optional co-op program
   2. the opportunity to take advantage of the many engineering programs available
      1. assignment of an engineering academic advisor who will offer counseling on classes, scheduling, and career paths
   3. enrollment in a first-quarter engineering survey course taught by an engineering academic advisor

3. opportunities to participate in student projects to enhance your engineering coursework
